Books...

Sat Mar 15, 2008, 2:03 PM
I went to the book store with my kids yesterday. I haven't been much into reading these days...nothing has been able to fully capture my attention...But I've been getting the urge to read again..

I thought about getting "The Other Bolynn Girl" but the same thing that put me off buying it when I first saw it was that it's a tome of a book and it's $16 to boot, and if I don't like it, I'm stuck with this book that I have no desire to pursue. I worry that some writing style are going to bore me to death. I thought about reading, "Me and Mr. Darcy", but when I thumbed through the pages, I determined from the style of the writer that she was more a glorified romance writer who had made the move to another genre...

Then I thought maybe a really good fantasy might be a nice way to get back into reading...And I discovered there are no good books with strong feminine heroes! What happened?!

Seriously Literary World! Are you daring me to write a book?! Are you?!

Sheesh...

You want something done, you have to do it yourself...

- What separates human beings from animals is our capacity to transcend the limits that nature gave us.

- When we use religion as an excuse to be hateful, to be prejudiced… that’s when put religion above God, above man.
